Four people were arrested on Friday night (February 1) after police allegedly discovered a large cannabis grow at a rented house in Garnet Lane in Tadcaster.
North Yorkshire police today said the arrested people include three men, one aged 22 from Manchester, two 23-year-olds and 43 of no fixed address, and a woman aged 18 from Manchester.
The two men aged 23 and 43 have been charged with cannabis production and using electricity without authority. They were remanded in custody to appear to appear at York Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 4 February 2013).
The 22-year-old man and the 18-year-old woman have been released on bail while enquiries continue.
The spokesman said: “Officers executed a warrant at the large, detached property and discovered several rooms had been taken over with cannabis production equipment and a substantial number of plants.”
