A NEW cafe in Tadcaster had its front window smashed causing more than £250 worth of damage.

The Granary cafe, on Bridge Street, had only been open for two weeks when the vandals struck on Sunday night.

Cafe Owner Richard Forth, said: “We are now having the window repaired but we will have to have our logo redone too. This will not put me off Tadcaster, however, everyone has been so welcoming since we came here.”
