CLIFFORD is all set for its second beer festival next month - with villagers ready to drink the taps dry.
The festival, which attracted more than 600 people to its first-ever event last year, will run at Clifford Village Hall on Saturday July 2, from noon until around 11pm, with four local live bands playing throughout the afternoon and evening.
Christine Talbot of YTV’s Calendar programme has launched her own festival special ale for the event - aptly named Calendar Girl - being brewed by the Yorkshire real ale specialists, Elland Brewery.
The festival is jointly organised by Clifford Village Hall Supporters’ Committee and Clifford Amateur Football Club. It aims to generate much-needed funds for redecoration and general upkeep of the hall, as well as the provision of changing rooms at the football club.
l Entry to the festival £5 to include the first drink, a souvenir beer festival glass and programme.
