St Edward’s Roman Catholic Church: services for the coming week are as follows Saturday, May 18 6pm vigil mass, Sunday, May 19 10am, Monday, May 20 to Friday, May 24 9.30am (10am on Thursday).

Clifford Methodist Church: on Sunday, May 19 there will be a service at 10.30am. There will also be an open house coffee morning in the Methodist schoolroom on May 21, from 10–11.30am. All welcome. Meanwhile, the church now has its own website, which is worth visiting, and can be found at http://www.cliffordmc.org.uk.

St Luke’s Church: there will be a holy communion service on Sunday, May 19 at 11am.

Coffee morning: there will be a coffee morning on Saturday, May 18 between 10am-noon, in the village hall. Other events include various stalls, and a tombola. Admission is £1, including refreshments. The money raised will go towards leukaemia and lymphoma research.

Hog roast: Clifford preschool will host a hog roast and auction night, in the village hall, between 7-11pm, on Friday, May 24. Entertainment will be provided by the Boston Spa School Band. Tickets are £10, and can be bought by phoning 01937 844239, 07972 799698 or 07515 594456. The money raised will buy new equipment for Clifford Preschool.

Live music at the Albion: bands from throughout the country will be performing live at the Albion throughout the year, normally on a Saturday evening. Meanwhile, folk evenings take place once a month on a Wednesday. These take place on the third Wednesday of each month. The next folk evening will, therefore, take place on Wednesday, June 19. Clifford AFC: bingo is now a regular event, normally on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance fee of £3 includes raffle ticket. The next bingo is in June.
