St Edward’s Roman Catholic Church: services for the coming week are as follows Saturday, December 22 6pm vigil mass, Sunday, December 23 10am, Monday, December 24 6pm and Midnight, Tuesday, December 25 10am, Wednesday, December 26 to Friday, December 28 9.30am (10am on Thursday).
Clifford Methodist Church: on Sunday, December 23 there will be a service at 10.30am. There will also be services at 10pm on Monday, December 24, and at 10am on Tuesday, December 25. Meanwhile, the church now has its own website, which is worth visiting, and can be found at http://www.cliffordmc.org.uk.
St Luke’s Church: there will be a service on Sunday, December 23 at 11am. On the same day, St Luke’s annual carol service will take place at 3.30pm. A midnight mass service will take place on Monday, December 24 at 11pm. There will be a communion service on December 25 at 11am.
Carols Around the Tree: this fun, and traditional event will take place on Thursday, December 20 beside the tree next to the War Memorial, starting at 7.30pm. The singing will be lead by Father Ingwell.
Live Music at the Albion: bands from throughout the country will be performing live at the Albion throughout the year, normally on a Saturday evening. Meanwhile, folk evenings take place once a month on a Wednesday. These will now be on the third Wednesday of each month. The next folk evening will therefore, take place on Wednesday, January 16, not January 2 as originally advertised. Clifford AFC: bingo is now a regular event, normally on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance fee of £3 includes raffle ticket. The next bingo is in January.
