St Edward’s Roman Catholic Church: services for the coming week are as follows Saturday, October 6 6pm vigil mass, Sunday, October 7 10am, Monday, October 8 to Friday, October 12 9.30am (10am on Thursday).
Clifford Methodist Church: on Sunday, October 7 there will be a service at 10.30am. There will also be an open house coffee morning in the Methodist schoolroom on Tuesday, October 9 from 10–11.30am. St Luke’s Church: there will be a holy communion service on Sunday, October 7 at 3pm.
Clifford Drama Group: the group’s next production is Trivial Pursuits by Frank Vickery, to be staged on October 25 to 27. The play is a comedy set at a barbecue of the local operatic society. A cast of ten players combines new and experienced actors. The box office is now open and tickets can be booked by telephoning Andrea Seed on 01937 845981. Due to popularity, early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
German for the Christmas Markets: a one off languages course will be held on Saturday, November 10 in the village hall, from 9am-1pm. This is for people who are visiting Christmas markets in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Numbers are limited to 10, but further dates and venues may be added according to demand. Live Music at the Albion: bands from throughout the country will be performing live at the Albion throughout the year, normally on a Saturday evening. Meanwhile, folk evenings take place once a month on a Wednesday. The next folk evening will take place on Wednesday, October 10. Clifford AFC: bingo is now a regular event, normally on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance fee of £3 includes raffle ticket. The next bingo is in October.
