Cathedral's garden and home show

Ripon Cathedral is to host a new Food Garden and Home Show this spring.

The event in the Nave on Saturday April 8 will look to build on the success of the record-breaking Christmas Gift and Food Fair with a host of attractions.

“Celebrated chefs including Stephanie Moon, Chef Consultant to Rudding Park and a highly skilled Chef from Swinton Park, will be doing demonstrations and tastings,” said spokesman Molly Barrs.

“There is also the opportunity to meet and greet with gardener Martin Fish who will be doing a demonstration involving fruit, veg and herbs.”

These demonstrations will run at selected timed sessions throughout the day and must be pre-booked in advance by visiting the Cathedral website.

Numbers are very limited per session, so organisers warn to book now to avoid missing out. The cost for these demonstrations are £7 and include entry to the show.

Also at the Show will be over 50 local garden and food traders selling top quality products. These include gin, country clothing, gardening ranges and gifts, local meats, ice cream and homewares.

Children’s activities will run throughout the day including plant a posy, decorating Easter eggs and Thorp Perrow birds of prey.
