The Tockwith car boot sale returns to the village this May and bookings are already coming in.
Taking place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4, it will fill the Tockwith Show Field on Cattal Moor Lane.
Sellers can access the site from 7am, with pitches £7 for cars and £10 for vans. The gates will open for buyers at 8am and entry is free.
As well as the pitches for sellers, there will be hot sausage sandwiches, bacon sandwiches, beefburgers, home baking and refreshments on sale, plus face painting for the children and a raffle.
Proceeds from the event go towards helping with the running of Tockwith Show in August, which this year marks its 70th anniversary.
Maureen Atkinson, who helps to organise the event through the Tockwith and District Agricultural Society, said: “The car boot sale is always a very popular event and we’ve already had a lot of interest this year.
“The money raised will go towards helping with the running of Tockwith Show in August.
“We have some fantastic plans to mark the occasion, both at the show and on other occasions, including a 1940s Big Band event in October.”
