One of the biggest annual fundraisers for the Tockwith Show will take place next month – and it is expected to be a fun family attraction.
The Tockwith Show Car Boot Sale will take place at the Show Field on Cattal Moor Lane on Bank Holiday Monday (1 May).
Entry is open from 7am for sellers, with a charge of £7 for cars and £10 for vans. Buyers get free admission from 8am.
As well as all kinds of items for sale around the site, there will be a homemade cake stall, refreshments, and bacon, sausage and burger rolls.
The organisers, Tockwith and District Agricultural Society, believe it is more than just a car boot sale.
Society co-chairman Sam Blacker said: “We know families like to come for more than just the sale. You can certainly pick up a bargain from our sellers, but you can also get a cracking sandwich made with local sausages or bacon and some really delicious cakes.
“This is a big fundraiser for us and helps us to put on the best possible Tockwith Show, so we hope lots of people will come along and support us.”
Schedules for the 2017 show will be posted on the website soon. Anyone who would like to receive a hard copy can email email@example.com.
