Wetherby web firm bought by growing full-service agency

Wetherby-based web design and development agency NetConstruct has been acquired from its founder, David Bentley, for an undisclosed sum.

The buyer is Ingenuity Digital Holdings (IDH), a search engine optimisation and digital marketing specialist whose main trading operations are Ingenuity Digital and Harrogate-based The WebMarketing Group. IDH also has offices in Leeds and London and following the acquisition now employs more than 100 marketing professionals.

NetConstruct is an award-winning provider of online solutions and hosting for business. Its services range from enterprise-level websites and e-commerce stores for business-to-business and business-to-consumer application to mobile, video, online training and systems integration.

IDH chief executive Dennis Engel said: “To date, the primary focus of the group has been search marketing for medium and large companies in the UK and internationally. This is an important strategic acquisition for us following several years of strong organic growth. It broadens our offering and the powerful synergies it brings will benefit both sets of clients.

“With further acquisitions currently being planned, it represents the next step towards IDH becoming one of the largest full-service digital agencies in the UK.

“We are very excited about working with the team at NetConstruct. They have built up a superb reputation for delivering high-quality and often complex online solutions to their clients.”
