Business process outsource and IT solutions provider Nostrum Group has become the latest member of the Saint Michael’s Guild of Patrons.

Since its launch in 2008, 33 local, regional and national businesses have got behind the guild, all donating £5,000 per year over a three year period to the charity, making a valuable contribution towards the £3.9m annual running costs of the hospice.

Richard Carter, chief executive of Harrogate-based Nostrum Group, said: “Our staff have been raising funds off and on for Saint Michael’s for many years now, but in our 10th year in business we wanted to mark the anniversary by making a major commitment to become a patron and make a real difference within our community over the next three years.

“In addition, all fundraising efforts will go towards Saint Michael’s and the fantastic work they do. We have also established a volunteering scheme with Saint Michael’s to give our staff the opportunity to help out in whatever way they can.”

Tony Collins, chief executive of Saint Michael’s, said: “We are delighted that Nostrum has decided to formalise its support of Saint Michael’s by joining the Guild of Patrons. The Guild shows the power that businesses working together have on improving life for residents in the communities in which they operate.”
