THE NEW chairman of Wetherby Business Association has paid tribute to his predecessor.
Wetherby resident Philip Roberts, 47, manager of the The Bridge Hotel and Spa in Walshford, has taken over the role after Rosemary Nicholson stepped down last month after two years.
Philip, said: “Rosemary has been a great ambassador for Wetherby and has a huge amount of energy and drive.
“She has done a great job.
“She has helped on a number of issues, such as with small businesses and campaigning on behalf of local people.
“I know she has worked hard on the campaigning of brown tourists signs for Wetherby and has actively encouraged small business in the town.”
