A MEDICAL equipment supplier has moved to larger premises on Hornbeam Park in Harrogate following a sustained period of growth.

Beaucare Medical has relocated to premises just a stone’s throw from its former site. The company is now looking to expand its product ranges and further develop its service team, and expects to be a £10m turnover business by December 31 next year.

Beaucare, which achieved its 19th year of trading in August this year, supplies medical, nursing and hygiene equipment to private care homes, hospitals and individuals. With more than 4,000 product lines, a fleet of next day delivery vans and a team of dedicated service engineers, Beaucare is able to provide sales and aftercare service to its 3,000 strong active customer base.

Managing director Jonathan Brown said: “Our market is somewhat different to the norm, with the ageing population and care home demand increasing daily. The relocation will strengthen and assist our continued growth, along with ensuring continued customer satisfaction.”

Established in 1992, Beaucare Medical Ltd moved to Hornbeam Park in 2003 and has since grown from eight employees to 30. The last ten months have seen the company’s warehouse bursting at the seams on a daily basis, so the decision was made to relocate to another premises which is more than 15,000ft sq larger.

The new site offers 25,000ft sq of warehousing, as well as a dedicated client training room, product servicing area, meeting rooms, new trade mobility showroom and improved logistics for goods in and out.

“The increased footage will enable import of products on a larger scale, ensuring value for money and capability to meet increased customer demand,” said Jonathan.

“Beaucare prides itself on its long-standing relationships with customers, and the future brings expansion in both the product ranges and further development of the Beaucare Service Team.”

He added: “In hand with this growth, we will be looking to recruit sales, service engineers and warehouse staff to cope with increased demand and warehouse capabilities.”
