Home care and dementia care specialist expands

A specialist provider of home care and dementia care services to elderly people has moved to larger offices at Oakwood Park Business Centre near Ripley to meet the growing demand for its services.

Carefound was established last year by Oliver Stirk to offer care services in elderly people’s own homes in the Harrogate, Ripon and Wetherby area. The company provides a wide range of services, from basic help in the home and companionship, to personal care, medication help and post-operative rehabilitation.

Oliver said: “Our new offices at Oakwood Park will help us accommodate a growing office and community-based team. They also provide us with better disabled access and private rooms in which our home care manager can hold confidential meetings with families.”

He attributed the growing interest in Carefound’s service to its specialist help for people who suffer from dementia, adding: “We are continuously developing the knowledge of dementia among our team and see this as extremely important in improving outcomes for clients. Although we recognise that there are instances where residential care is the best option, we believe that with specialist help from professional, well trained carers, many more people who suffer from dementia will be able to remain at home.”
