High Street TV tunes in to partnership

Direct response television multi channel retailer High Street TV (HSTV) has entered into an exclusive strategic partnership with live shopping channel Ideal World.

The companies said the deal would significantly expand their customer base and extend their reach to every home in the UK, with their top-selling products gaining increased on-air coverage and enhanced integration across joint platforms.

Under the long-term agreement, Harrogate-based HSTV will exclusively showcase Ideal World’s best-selling ranges across its multi channel platforms. Key products will also feature in the stores of HSTV’s high street retail partners including ASDA, WH Smiths, Argos, BHS and Boots, who dedicate space to branded ‘As Seen On High Street TV’ products.

HSTV’s most popular ranges will receive a boost by being showcased by Ideal World’s presenters at primetime slots on the UK’s fasting-growing live shopping channel.

Andrew Malcher, HSTV’s executive chairman, said: “There’s a natural synergy between our companies which will enhance the way products are marketed and sold.”

Ideal World’s chief executive Mike Hancox added: “This is a great collaboration. It means we can open up new and exciting channels for our customers to access products where and when they want.”
