Collingham and Linton Council
Collingham and Linton Parish Council has provided a grant to enable the management committee to undertake essential roof repairs to Collingham Memorial Hall.
At the recent meeting councillors heard that a scheme to widen the car park entrance to Collingham children’s play area and pavilion had been negotiated with Leeds City Council.
The scheme is designed to improve safety for pedestrains and motorists by widening the site lines from and into the car park.
The children’s play area extension will be completed in March with new and additional play equipment.
Coun Armitage outlined the progress being made towards completing the flood bank enhancements for Millbeck Green and The Close in Collingham.
The Parish Council recorded its thanks and appreciation to members of the Flood Committee for their diligent work towards a satisfactory outcome for, and with the support of, the residents concerned.
Councillors were informed that Leeds City Council has introduced a new parish and town grounds maintenance contract which is aimed at improving and enhancing the upkeep and appearance of grassed areas and shrubs around the city and its parishes.
Improved litter collection forms part of the new scheme.
