Bus fares to rise
Transdev in Harrogate bus fares will rise slightly from Sunday.
Most single and return tickets will rise by 10 or 20 pence and there will also be changes to many day, week, month and annual tickets.
Nigel Eggleton, Director of Sales & Marketing for Transdev in Harrogate said: “We understand that this will not be welcome news, especially at such a difficult time but, as everyone knows from their own domestic bills, costs have risen significantly.”
“We continue to face rising fuel and insurance costs, together with reductions in funding from local authorities.”
Unlimited travel around Harrogate costs less than £1.90 a day with a monthly ticket, and unlimited travel across the network to as far afield as Leeds, Ripon and Wetherby costs from £3.50 a day.
