Local charity Brain Tumour Research and Support across Yorkshire (BTRS) is planning its annual Big Bike Ride on Saturday 20 May.

The popular bike ride event will follow a circular route from Wetherby Rugby Club with two distance options (35 miles and 64 miles).

Standard entry is just £20, or cyclists can opt for the ‘Gold’ entry at £30, which includes a finishers medal and lunch ticket.

A spokesman for the event said: “Whether you are an enthusiast wanting to take on a cycling challenge or an elite looking to gain a personal best, this ride caters for all abilities and promises to be a great day out while helping to raise vital funds for this important cause.

“If you don’t want to take part in the ride but would like to volunteer, the BTRS is looking for marshals to help on the day. We would love to hear from you.

“To find out more about the ride please visit our website www.btrs.org.uk/bbr or contact the fundraising team on 01133 400111.”
