Ladies only bike ride: the next British Cycling Breeze Cycle Ride will be Wednesday, September 18. Once again we will be meeting at the Boston Spa Library at an earlier time of 6.30pm. Jazz in the Spa: the session this Saturday, September 14 - Carl Sinclair Boogie Band - one of last year’s ‘explosive’ evenings which had everyone ‘rockin’ in the aisles’. So many requests for a repeat performance. Carl on the keyboard with the superb John Hallam on reeds - jazz, blues, boogie woogie and sheer effervescent entertainment. Oxfam Break-fest: Boston Spa village hall on Sunday, September 29 from 10.30am till 4pm. The event is called Break-fest - www.break-fest.com and features food (all day breakfasts), music, stalls and drinks - entrance is free! We have an excellent headline band, The Duncan McFarlane Band, who headline at the Otley Folk Festival the weekend before, and also have some other excellent local musicians playing. Boston Spa Methodist Church: the services for this Sunday, September 15 -10.30am Gerald Payling. 6pm Rev Amy Walters - Reflections. All are welcome to join us at any of our Services and events, and for refreshments afterwards in the Wesley Room.

St Mary’s Ark: join us at St Mary’s Ark, St Mary’s Church every first and third Thursday of the month from 1.45-3pm (term time only) at St Mary’s Church, Boston Spa. This includes a short service for babies, toddlers, parents and carers. Including refreshments and activities. A warm welcome awaits you from the members of Mothers’ Union. Boston Spa Farmers Market: our next farmers market will be held on Friday, September 13 from 9am to approx noon. You will find us on the Millennium Square outside Boston Spa Library, High Street. Come and buy all that is fresh and local from freshly baked goods, pies and pastries, fresh meat and eggs and locally produced fruit and vegetables.

Boston Spa Gardening Society: our next meeting is titled - Fruit for Confined Spaces by Clifford Cain on Wednesday, September 25. We meet at 7.15pm at Deepdale Community Centre. Refreshments and Raffle available at every meeting. New members are warmly welcomed.

Forthtell : invites you to a lecture and discussion on issues of the day. The next session is titled All at Sea by Iain McGregor at the Boston Spa village hall on Saturday, September 14 from 2.30-4pm. All are welcome. There is no charge and there will be light refreshments and free literature. Forthell is an independent fellowship, not connected to any one church or organisation, seeking to pursue Bible truth, determine the Christian position on issues of the day, and at this time defend the sovereignty of the UK from the inroads of European Union and its euro.
