Ladies Bike Ride: come and join a ladies only bike ride on Saturday, January 26 at 9am. We will be meeting outside the Boston Spa Library. Jazz in the Spa: the session this Saturday, January 26 – Alan Barnes + John Hallam + Tom Kincaid Trio – two of the UK’s ace saxophonists in tandem plus one of the UK’s finest exponents of the art of the piano. Boston Spa Methodist Church: the services for this Sunday, January 27 - 10.30am Rev Susan Greenhart Holocaust, Education and Homelessness. All are welcome to join us, wherever they are on their faith journey, at any of our services and events, and for refreshments afterwards in the Wesley Room.

St Mary’s Church: new time for services from the beginning of January 2013 the main Sunday Service at St Mary’s will start at 10am, 8am Holy Communion at Bramham Church, 10am Holy Communion Service at St Mary’s.

St Mary’s Ark: come and join us at St Mary’s Ark, St Mary’s Church every first and third Thursday of the month from 1.45-3pm at St Mary’s Church, Boston Spa. This includes a short service for babies, toddlers, parents and carers, including refreshments and activities. A warm welcome awaits you from the members of Mothers’ Union. The next meeting will be February 7.

Boston Spa Beer Festival: our fifth Beer Festival will be held at Boston Spa Village Hall on Friday, February 15 and Saturday, February 16. On Friday doors open from 3.30pm (Corporate entry) and general public entry from 6.30–11pm Advance tickets online £5.75 or from Yeadons Hardware, High Street, Boston Spa £5 www.bostonspabeerfestival.co.uk Saturday entry from noon–7pm. Tickets on the door or advance online and from Yeadons. Price includes souvenir pint glass and half pint token. Eight Camra Champion beers, 30+ Yorkshire beers, 10 ciders/perrys, pie and peas and two bars (a third on Friday from Black Sheep), childrens entertainment (family room) on Saturday, live music Friday and Saturday and bar games. Boston Spa women’s institute: our next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 6 from 7.30pm at Boston Spa village hall. This evening talk is Art Attack An introduction to watercolours, and a chance to try it yourself.
