Planning Proposals: please take the time to complete the questionnaire http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/1317795/TANPSG-Survey-TABS regarding the Thorp Arch and Boston Spa Cricket Club (TABS) and Hatfeild Estate proposals. The survey of villagers’ views that was carried out by TANPSG some months ago demonstrated a lack of support for any material development within the village. The same survey, though, did indicate significant support for retaining the cricket club (TABS) in the village. The TANPSG has recently been approached by TABS and by Carter Jonas (CJ), property advisers to the Hatfeild Estate, which is a major local landowner, with a proposal to move TABS to a new site on the north side of Dowkell Lane, effectively opposite the school, and for some residential development on the old cricket ground and/or on Dowkell Lane. In accordance with its duty to consult, TANPSG has facilitated a presentation by TABS/CJ of their proposals at a village meeting on July 3 at Lady Elizabeth Hastings School. TANPSG would welcome further input from residents on this issue, and would urge you all to complete this questionnaire. Hard copies can be obtained from the PAX. The results of the survey will be published as soon as possible.
