Boston Spa Gala: join us for our specatular Boston Spa Gala on Saturday June 15. Stables Lane Field, Boston Spa, promises to be a fun packed day for all the family. The event starts with a parade from St Mary’s Church at 12.45pm led by cheerleaders who will accompany the Prince and Princess from each of the local primary schools. All children in fancy dress are invited to join in the procession and the best children’s fancy dress will be judged between 1.15-1.30pm. The gala is run by Boston Spa and Tadcaster Round Table and the money raised goes towards local good causes. Since the gala started close to £50,000 has been donated to organisations such as Boston in Bloom, and Aiming High, thanks to the generosity and support of local people. As usual the gala’s aim is for everyone to enjoy themselves and there will be a number of activities running throughout the afternoon to this effect including the popular junior football tournament for all the local primary schools which will culminate in the award ceremony at 4pm. The main event arena will host a number of activities including a special falconry show and throughout the afternoon entertainment including a funfair, puppet show, trampolines, band, stalls and refreshments laid on.
