Entrants in this year’s Great Yorkshire Bike Ride are to set out from Wetherby on Sunday on their 70-mile trek to Filey.
The event, which supports Yorkshire charities, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and the organisers are hoping for better weather than last as they set out from the racecourse at ???.
Organiser John Taylorson MBE, said: “The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride is one of the most popular and successful charity cycle rides in Yorkshire.
“Each year a sell-out entry of 2,000 riders of all ages and abilities take on the challenge of the 70 mile route from Wetherby to Filey.
“The route takes in some of the greatest scenery that North Yorkshire has to offer.”
