Yorkshire-based artist David J Markham has donated a painting of Martin House to the Clifford-based children’s hospice to mark its 25th anniversary and remember close family members who have died. Painted in his own unique style - complete with splats and his trademark Bunny - the painting has been well received by all who visit the entrance of the visionary building.

David said: “Having lost a number of close family members in recent years to cancer - I just wanted to give something back to help an invaluable charity”.

Alyson Wort, Head of Fundraising, said: “David’s beautiful painting has pride of place in our reception and we are immensely grateful to him for helping us celebrate our anniversary in this unique way.”

David will be showing at Aberford Interiors in Aberford as their artist of the month in November where anybody wishing to know about his paintings will be able to see his recent work Built in Yorkshire and Sketches of France.
