Do you like a project, or are you more of an off-the-peg buyer?
Most househunters, apparently, are the latter – they like to buy a finished home, without having to think about accent walls or dado rails. Which gives the project-minded buyers something to do: fix up properties to sell on to their DIY-averse neighbours.
There are lots of properties in our area that need modernisation. The following four are currently on the market, just waiting for someone to love them.
New Mill House at Fellbeck is a stone-built, semi-detached property in the heart of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Finally, 30 Park Parade is a grade II-listed Georgian townhouse overlooking Christ Church Stray, said to date from the late 18th century.
Unassuming from the outside, but deceptively spacious on the inside, it screams “potential” at every turn. It arguably needs the most work of all these properties, but then again, any investment should be rewarded in spades.
