HARROGATE’S newest but already highly popular stand-up comedy club Sitting Room, returns to the St George Hotel, Harrogate with another evening of high quality of live stand-up.

For Sitting Room promoter and resident MC, Tom Taylor, this will be the culmination of a busy few weeks.

Tom said: “Sitting Room has made an incredible start to 2012. Late last month we saw comedy legend Arthur Smith grace the stage and on Sunday, April 1 we were fortunate enough to host the AmusedMoose LaughOff Awards.

“Logistics wise it was a 13-hour day of comedy, totally exhausting but the standard was incredible, which bodes well for the future of British stand-up.”

Headlining next Wednesday, April 11 at 8pm is Harrogate favourite, Rob Rouse.

Alongside appearances on Celebrity Juice, 8 Out of Ten Cats, Dave’s One Night Stand and Sean Lock’s 15 Storeys High, Rob received rave reviews for his solo show at Harrogate Theatre last year.

It’s praise that was echoed throughout the country, as Rob’s immense talent and cheeky charm tend to endear him to any audience. Supporting Rob will be Carey Marx and James Redmond.

Carey can boast television appearances on The Stand Up Show and World Stands Up, as well as the BBC’s prestigious compilation show, Edinburgh Comedy Fest. A devilishly funny man.

Actor-come-comedian, James Redmond, may be familiar to many as John Denham from Casualty or Rory Finnegan from Hollyoaks. Fresh-off-the-telly, James is now taking the comedy world by storm with some excellent performances.

l Tickets for next Wednesday’s show at the St George Hotel are priced at £10 and are available from the St George reception, Harrogate Tourist Information Centre or www.sittingroomcomedy.com
