Al Murray to pull crowds at Harrogate Theatre

After storming the UK and international comedy circuits for years Yorkshire man, marathon runner and former (double award-winning) Time Out Comedian of the Year Paul Tonkinson is taking to the road for a new stand-up tour.

The popular comedian’s UK itinerary will include a date at Harrogate Theatre on Saturday, February 2.

With a reputation as one of the finest stand-ups around, boasting a mastery of physicality and impressions brought to life with tremendous charm and infectious energy, his new show is called Fancy Man.

On TV, he’s most recently appeared on BBC One’s Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and was recently a contestant on the hit show Celebrity Come Dine With Me on Channel 4.

The hugely popular TV comic Al Murray brings his The Only Way Is Epic show to the Royal Hall on February 19.

Following a phenomenally successful 2012 Autumn tour, The Pub Landlord will be serving up his premier brew of ale-inspired acumen and bar-room buffoonery as part of his hilarious new show.

Acoustic guitarist extraordinaire Preston Reed returns to Harrogate Theatrethe night before (Friday, February 1) following last year’s sell-out concert.

In contrast, at the Royal Hall on Saturday, February 2 multi-award-winning jazz vocalist, Claire Martin OBE, joins the internationally acclaimed BBC Big Band for a celebration of the legendary leading ladies of Big Band, including Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, Peggy Lee and more.

There’s classic drama on Tuesday, February 5 when Townsend Productions returns with its new adaptation of Robert Tressell’s famous novel, The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists.

Following the hugely successful BBC documentary The Choir, The Military Wives choir will befilling the Royal Hall on Saturday, February 9 with its beautiful harmonies and heart-touching tunes.

Woody Sez, which runs from Monday, February 11 to Wednesday, February 13, celebrates the spirit of American folk legend Woody Guthrie.

One of the world’s favourite operas, La Boheme will be presented on Valentine’s Day by the critically acclaimed Grand Opera of Belarus.
