TADCASTER will play host to its first ever traditional beer festival in August.
The event will be held at Tadcaster Social Car Park on Saturday August 4 starting at noon.
Cliff Edwards, the steward of the club, said: “This is the first time there has been a beer festival in the town and we intend to make it a memorable event.
“There will be 20 ales from breweries all over Yorkshire because we feel that Yorkshire has some great ales to offer apart from the mass produced stuff.”
“We will have entertainment for the kids all day and also entertainment for the grown ups.”
“All in all it’s going to be a landmark day for Tadcaster and this is just the beginning.
Live music will be featured all day in the outdoors.
Entry will £5 and for that you will get a program, a free drink, a commemoration pint glass and discounted fish and chips.
There will also be food stalls such as curry, samosas, pie and peas, barbecue a tombola, and other stalls.
There is also the chance to get a signed, framed, set of old and new pump clips from Rudgate Brewery.
