YOUNGSTERS brought an exotic feel to the town this week when they unveiled a gigantic mural inspired by the rainforest.
More than 50 primary school children from Hookstone and Spofforth gathered at Taylors of Harrogate tea and coffee factory at Plumpton Park to show their artwork off to the world.

Over the last few weeks, the pupils have been busy with paints, glitter and crayons, helping the family business by creating designs for artist Robert Thompson to bring to life in a 34-metre long, full colour mural.

From huge butterflies flying around the canape trees to coffee beans laid out to dry on the ground, the mural tells the story of how coffee is grown in the rainforest and the importance of protecting the planet.

The inspiration behind the mural ties in with Bettys & Taylors pledge to save an area of rainforest as part of their long-running Trees for Life appeal.
