Pupils land South Pacific roles
FOUR talented pupils from a stage school in Harrogate have been chosen to appear in a forthcoming touring production of musical South Pacific.
The children, who all attend Stage Central Theatre School and Casting Agency, were cast by assistant director Ed Viney who has been searching for children from stage schools across Yorkshire.
The character of Ngana will be played by ten-year-old Sally Hall, who attends St Mary's RC Primary School in Knaresborough and also by Grace McCready, who is nine and attends St Joseph's Primary School in Bilton.
William Leaf, 10 and Christian Dumouchel, who is seven, both come from the Wetherby area and they're taking on the part of Ngana's brother, Jerome.
South Pacific features Dave Willetts, whose West End starring roles include Phantom of the Opera and also Helena Blackman, who was runner-up in BBC1's How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?
The show, from the producers of 42nd Street, will be at the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford from June 2 to 7.
