THE 2nd Annual Oatlands Community Gala Fun Day took place on Saturday with entertainment, refreshments and stalls helping to raise money for local charities.
Opened by Harrogate and Knaresborough MP Phil Willis, who also judged the Fancy Dress Competition, the event was declared a great success by those involved.
Gala organiser Alyson Duffy said: "We were blessed with a fabulously hot and sunny day which brought huge crowds from the area. I would like to say a big thank you to all the businesses, volunteers and the general public who supported our event."
Fellow organiser Vic Smith-Dunn added: "Once again, we have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity of the local community.
"Our aim is that within five years, the Oatlands Gala will become one of the premier community events in Harrogate."
Mr Willis said: "After the weather forced the postponement of the event it was great to see the rain hold off and allow everyone to enjoy themselves on Saturday."
