AT OUR meeting on the April 8 Mrs Christine Rayner gave us a very interesting talk on the Art of Patchwork. Christine is a freelance fabric artist and has spent her whole career in the study, teaching and pursuit of Arts and Crafts. She brought along samples explaining the basic techniques of constructing patchwork. She also passed around for us to examine cushions, quilts, and wall hangings in beautiful combinations of colours and prints. One amazing quilt, which was of a size suitable for a k
Our next meeting is on May 13 when our speaker will be Mrs Angela Henson from the RHS Garden, Harlow Carr. Members are asked to compete for a trophy by creating a Miniature Garden about 11" by 7".

Our outing to Burton Agnes on June 10 will be open to non-members, so members are asked to invite friends and relatives to join us for an enjoyable day out.
