Harrogate Road Safety Dog Training Club
HARROGATE Road Safety Dog Training Club recently held the end of course test night.

The following dogs and their handlers were successful in the basic Road Safety Obedience Test and were presented with their rosettes and certificates.:

1, Miss
A Nicholson and Oddy; 2, Mrs M Bradfield with Dora; 3, Mr D Kent and Tilly; 4, Mrs D Watchorn with Buzz, followed by Mrs E Green and Mica, Mrs B Adshead and Charlie, Mrs L Staiano and Bailey, Mrs C Carrivick and Meg, Mrs L Herrington and Murphy, Mr Fretwell and Jasper, Louise Scott and Scoobie, Mrs S Woodly and Abbey, Mrs K Rutter and Molly, Mr M Richards and Tim, Mrs Y Skelton and Maximus, Mrs D Freeman and Lottie, Mr Ogden and Lola, Mrs G Faith and Scarlet, Miss M Dawson with Tiggy.

An award is given to the dog that, although not passing the test, was the most improved. Mrs S Morley with Ziggy received this.

Mrs Hallas with Tikanni, Mrs B Yarrow with Nellie and Mr I Robinson with Abbie successfully completed the more advanced medallion course and were duly presented with rosettes and medallions.

The awards were presented by Mrs Madeley who with her husband and dog Tommy representing Dogs for the Disabled accepted a cheque for £200 towards their funds.

Mrs Madeley gave a most interesting talk on the training of these specialised dogs.

Puppy training classes take place on Friday evenings in Harrogate whilst the dog training classes are at Knaresborough House on a Wednesday evening.
