Bardsey Patronal Festival Service: Scarcroft members of Bardsey, All Hallows Church congregation joined members from St Mary Magdalene and the Methodist Churches, East Keswick. A full church took part in the service conducted by the Vicar Rev Chris Puckrin. Following the service the congregation moved up to the Bardsey village hall for a parish lunch. A full sit down meal with many choices of main courses and sweets, coffee and biscuits, all home made and laid out by the volunteers. A vote of thanks was given by The Rev Chris Pukrin And the Church Warden Sue Cairns.

Scarcroft Ladies Luncheon Club: the November lunch took place at the village hall. A heating problem was soon rectified. As usual a fine meal was prepared by Mary Fowler and her staff. The speaker was by Jenifer Stacey entitled Christmas Medley a talk on crafts, including cards, gift boxes decorations and crackers using everyday items and materials. A vote of thanks was proposed by Margaret Midgley. Next luncheon will be on Monday, December 10 at noon.
