Developers should pay for new school and access road

From: David Macey, West Avenue, Boston Spa.

LET us agree on one thing, the situation on Westwood Way is going to get worse if building permission is granted for Church Fields so a short term solution is no good anyway.

I would like to suggest that a condition of any planning permission on Church Fields is subject to the developers paying for a new junior and infant school which can be designed with access in mind.

The site at Deepdale Community Centre is ideal as it is in need of renovation anyway and could be developed into a state of the art new village school while the Primrose Lane School site is sold off.

Any developer is set to make millions of pounds profit and although we do not wish to see the field built on, if it is going to happen, we can use the situation to the advantage of the whole village.
