St Edward’s Roman Catholic Church: services for the coming week are as follows: Saturday, February 16 6pm Vigil Mass, Sunday, February 17 10am, Monday, February 18 to Friday, February 22 9.30am (10am on Thursday).

Clifford Methodist Church: on Sunday, February 17, there will be a service at 10.30am. There will also be an open house coffee morning in the Methodist Schoolroom on Tuesday, February 19, from 10–11.30am. All welcome. Meanwhile, the church now has its own website, which is worth visiting, and can be found at http://www.cliffordmc.org.uk.

St Luke’s Church: there will be a Holy Communion Service on Sunday, February 17, at 11am.

Concert: the excellent Valanzano Ensemble will be performing pieces by Mendelssohn, Haydn, and Beethoven, at St Luke’s on Saturday, March 2, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10, including food and wine, and are available on the door. For further info, please contact the Gausdens on 01937 843575.

Parish Council: the next meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 20, in the village hall, at 7.30pm. All welcome.

Live Music at the Albion: bands from throughout the country will be performing live at the Albion throughout the year, normally on a Saturday evening. Meanwhile, folk evenings take place once a month on a Wednesday. These will now be on the third Wednesday of each month. The next folk evening will, therefore, take place on Wednesday, February 20. For any further information on this, and other music played at the Albion, please call 01937 918554.

Clifford AFC: bingo is now a regular event, normally on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance fee of £3 includes raffle ticket. The next bingo is in March.

News: anyone who has any news from Clifford, please contact me on the above details. Please be aware that my deadline is eight days before the paper hits the shelves on a Thursday, so the sooner the better.
