THE Swan Players have returned to the Carriageworks Theatre in Leeds with a production of Alan Bennett's Habeas Corpus.
It is the second time the comedy of mistaken identities and sexual excesses has been performed by the Bramham-based theatre group, having previously performed the play to critical acclaim at the Harrogate Theatre.

For some cast members it is the third production, having performed the play with Tockwith Players.

Director Anne-Marie Ledson said: “The play is proving a intricate merry-go-round for all concerned. The part of Dr Arthur Wicksteed is being played by David Rose who played the same role in Tockwith but was Breast Enhancement Appliance Fitter Mr Shanks previously in Harrogate. I played Lady Delia Rumpers in the Tockwith production which was directed by Sonya Gillespie who in this production plays doctor’s wife Muriel Wicksteed.”

Habeas Corpus runs until tomorrow, starting at 7.45pm. Tickets are £10, £7.50 and £5 and are available from the Carriageworks box office on 0113 224 380, www.carriageworkstheatre.org.uk and on the night.
