TO mark the launch of the 2008 festival, a piano has been popping up around Harrogate as part of the 'Specsavers Play Me Piano' tour.
Over the next two weeks, expect to see the piano appear at a number of destinations including RHS Harlow Carr, Hoopers for Men, Mercer Art Gallery, the rail station and Hotel du Vin.

Everyone’s invited to have a play on the piano and there’s a chance to win £100 of ticket vouchers for the 2009 Harrogate International Festival if you send pictures of the piano and its star performers to the Harrogate Advertiser.

Just email the pictures to maggie.gell@ypn.co.uk as a jpeg attachment and you'll see them on the website.

Harrogate Advertiser editor Jean MacQuarrie, John Broadberry, from Specsavers Harrogate and William Culver-Dodds, chief executive of Harrogate International Festival, will judge the entries, with the winner of the best picture being announced in the Advertiser on August 8.
