MEMBERS of Harrogate Dramatic Society have been brushing up on their tap dancing skills as they get ready to 'step out' next week onto the stage of Harrogate Theatre.
The highly acclaimed play by playwright, Richard Harris, ‘Stepping Out’ takes a fly on the wall approach to the lives of seven very different people who come together every week for their regular tap dance class in the local church hall.
Alongwith their teacher and pianist, the mixed bag of people provide a fascinating glimpse into what goes on in the lives of each class member and there is a terrific build up to the ‘tappers’ ultimate dance performance at a local charity fundraising event.
Directed by Stuart Kellett with choreography by Jo Harrison, the play is eventful and emotional, funny yet poignant.
Showing from May 14 to 17 in the main auditorium nightly at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm, tickets priced from £13 to £11 with concessions available.
